Oh, it’s that time of the year when candied hearts, chocolates and roses are in abundance at the market. Everyone is scrambling to find that perfect gift and card that expresses their sentiment perfectly.
The writer of 1 Corinthians speaks about love too. He says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” 1 Cor. 13: 13.
I find it interesting that those who broke down the verses in the Bible to make it more readable chose the number “thirteen” as the chapter on love. Did you know that the Hebrew word ahava (love) also has a numerical value of thirteen? As believer’s we should strive to incorporate faith and hope into our lifestyles. But let us be ever so careful to remember, that love is our greatest attribute! When we tell someone we love them, we are telling them that they are the greatest!! Oh, how very true that is because God is LOVE!
