I was very young when the popular movie, “Love Story” debuted. A famous quote evolved from it that said, “Love means never having to say you’re sorry.”
The writer of James would disagree. “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed…..” James 5:16.
Our pride usually gets in the way of us apologizing to our co-workers, children or spouses. We always want to be right, win every argument, and point to others as the one in fault. Mostly, “I’m sorry,” is the best thing we can say when pride is holding us hostage. Give it a try!
