Have you ever met a phony? You know…the type of person who pretends to be or to do one thing but actually is just the opposite. The façade can be so powerful that it is difficult to recognize the real person inside.
I am grateful for the unique gifting of being able to see a phony a mile off. In my younger years it was not very developed, but if I were to meet a stranger on the street today, I could tell you things about him or her that relates to their character, past hurts and pain, and trustworthiness, regardless of any façade they are depicting. Some call it prophetic, others call it a word of knowledge. All that I know is that it has guided me immensely through the years and kept me out of trouble more times than I can count.
The wonderful truth about God is that He is who He says He is. In Exodus we read, “God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM….” Exodus 3:14 NIV.
We never have to imagine what God is like, what His character is, or if He loves us. He is Himself before us consistently. I am thankful I never have to second guess God’s motives or actions, because in every one them, His GREAT LOVE is on display for us!
