After His Heart,
It has been fourteen years of writing devotions that has helped me be able to move on to the next step in ministry. If you have not heard, I am doing a LIVE program called "Morin in the Morning!" Monday-Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m. CT on Facebook. Every program has biblical teachings and prayer time for the morning. You can see the previously recorded programs on my YOUTUBE channel as well.
In addition, there will be a new call in LIVE program 'Let's Pray ABout It!" where you can call in prayer needs and receive Biblical Counseling and prayer. Stay tuned on my home page for more information coming out soon on that, as well.
There are a lot of NEW things happening this coming year, and I hope that you, my precious readership will stay in touch with me. I want to thank you now for all of your encouraging words, prayers and support through the years. Better days are coming! Let us run towards the finish line and run the race of faith, becasue there is no dissapointment in HIM!
After His Heart,
Up until this moment I have not had much to say about this the political season--- but I do want to stress some things. We are not just voting on what's going to happen in this nation for the next four years. We are also voting on the person who will be bringing in Supreme Court Justices, affecting our nation for decades to come. If you want more of the same--then vote to keep everything unchanged or don't vote at all. If you want to see our nation stand a chance to rise, experience revival, get rid of deadweight, thrive once again, experience ethics reforms, build up our military, see more jobs and less civil disobedience, then you already know what you must do.
It is no secret, that in many ways our nation has become comatose while being force fed a politically correct diet that is leaving her undernourished and on the brink of hopelessness. The last election in 2012 proved to show one of the lowest attendance at the polls for registered voter populations of Christians in history. Basically, we allowed our faith to abandon the polls. Yet, I have HOPE beloved, because my hope is not in this current governmental system but it is in the Lord, the giver and sustainer of my hope!
I plead with you brothers and sisters, "Do not stay home." It is foolish to take our God-given responsibility, and our citizenship so lightly and throw it to the wind. Yes, I agree that God is in control of all matters, but we, my friends, especially those of us who dare to wear the name of Christ, should remember that we are his hands and feet… We are His people! In this hour it is so critical that we do what the writer of Chronicles stated: humble ourselves and pray, and seek HIS face, and turn from our wicked ways.
The decisions we make today and on Nov 8th will definitely affect our children and grandchildren for generations to come. I have no fear for tomorrow for I know WHO holds it. But I do fear a just and HOLY God and I will have no part of denying my responsibility as a believer to "Make this country great again." No president, no matter who we elect, will ever be able to do justice to that statement. The only way we can experience real change, will be when we as a nation, turn back to God, with a pure heart, with a forgiving heart, and learn to love one another as Christ first loved us. Unless we do so, we will continue to fail miserably.
No, I do not agree with everything that Donald Trump has said. But the man has repented, more than once, and if we claim to be a citizen of heaven, then our heavenly citizenship commands us to forgive. I see no act of repentance from the other party. Frankly, I see just the opposite: Haughty denial. It is that same haughty denial that has taken lives, across the seas in (Benghazi) and in safe zones here in America. It is that haughty denial that says unborn children have no rights. It is the same haughty denial that sees itself to be above the law. It is this haughty denial that makes plans behind closed doors by saying one thing publicly, and doing just the opposite. That same haughty denial laughs when confronted and tries to demean anyone who speaks the truth. It is not just done by this administration, it is being done through mainstream journalist who mimic the administration by knowing the truth yet reporting something totally different. The only time they admit to it, is when they get caught.
I ask you this question my friends, how many times will this administration have to be caught before the American people know the whole truth??
Yes I am passionate about our country. When I was younger, I would've probably been in the military had I not had a family. And let me say, we owe a debt to those who have served this country faithfully, even when they have not been supported appropriately.
I believe in God and I will continue to battle for what is right in this country. Those of you who know me, know that I will not be bullied, though many have tried to do so. Am I opinionated? Yes I am, and I'm proud to say that. My opinions may not matter to you, but the opinions that I have formed are based on my relationship with the LORD Jesus Christ, ..and I cannot go to bed one more night with a clean conscience, knowing that I have not conveyed that which is in my heart. God is raising up a lot of people just like me. People who are tired of the system. People who are weary day after day trying to take care of their families and never getting ahead. The "system" we currently live under, is all but broken. When a president can sign a piece of paper without the vote of the House or Congress, and insist that an action be taken at a whim because he is sick of the same system he has created, my friends, we are in trouble!
All of our troubles however are not due to the current system. The main troubles we are experiencing now as a nation, are because we as a nation are turning our backs on God, ignoring godly principles, and exchanging them for perverse laws that lead to even more of a moral decline.
When a nation declines morally as we have, we can expect hard times ahead.
I still have HOPE for AMERICA and that you will make the right decision my friend.
All I am asking is that on November 8, 2016, is for you to first PRAY----and then GO to the polls and make your VOTE COUNT!
God bless you and may God continue to BLESS the UNITED STATES of AMERICA!!!

If you were to enter a dark village, one without any form of light, when you left would their situation remain the same?
This is what Christianity is all about. If we follow His Word, it is a “Lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path” (Psalm 119:105), and leads us to places where His light is so desperately needed!
I once heard a statement as a teen that made a lifelong impression on me. The words relayed to me the importance of leaving a place in better shape than I found it. We should be ashamed as “Children of the Light” if we are so dimly lit that others around us vaguely and most likely never notice the LIGHT we have inside.
Paul understood the debate that often takes place in this present darkness, yet he never compromised putting on His SHINE for Jesus. Better yet, Jesus commanded that we shine our light, and not hide it under a bushel. He said we are to be salt and light to a world that has lost all hope.
There are two reasons why people do not shine their light for Jesus:
One, they do not know Him. Scripture says,” Let your light so shine before men so that they see your good works they will glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Truth be told, too many unbelievers and those who say they know Him, desire the light to shine upon them, to be noticed for all their good deeds. These same people are incapable of keeping His commands. Jesus warns of this kind of false faith, and declares that in that day He will command us to leave His presence for He never knew us!
Secondly, people refuse to shine their light in fear of persecution. Yes, they are believers but weak kneed and unable to shine their light when conflict or controversy arises. Everyone says that Peter denied Christ three times before the rooster crowed, and it is true. It takes an immense amount of faith to stand in the face of conflict.
I have been in situations of mild persecution and had to stand alone on one side of the room with Jesus. My life without Christ was so dark, hopeless and full of fear, that I welcomed His LIGHT to come right in and burn out the old me and create in me a new heart. Guess what? He did it, and He did it with much delight!
I’m no better than you. Peter, (also known as Simon, son of John) was later declaring that God is incapable of showing partiality. How did he discover this? Because after his denial, Jesus asked him three times, one for each time that he had denied Christ, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?
He never brought up Peter’s denial to Him. He just commanded him, “Feed my sheep.” Peter discovered that “Love covers a multitude of sin.”
So in closing, if we have not love, it will be impossible to SHINE our light in a manner that compels others as Jesus commands. However, if we love others as Christ first loved us, we long to shine HIS LIGHT in very dark places and we teach others how to SHINE their light before we leave a dark village (neighborhood, marketplace…) untouched by our compassion. It really boils down to this dear friends: If you dare to wear His name, you must be willing to “…proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9b).
Let’s stop leaving people in the dark!
After His Heart,
I present to you a labor of love for God and this country. God bless you and God BLESS AMERICA!
July 20, 2016
We either trust God with our life or we question His every move. Some doubt His existence, while others totally rely upon Him for everything in life. Why do you suppose there appears to be such a vast difference in beliefs?
Truth be told, we have failed to acknowledge the sovereign power of God. In fact, the doctrine of God and His sovereignty repulses many, especially those desiring to control every aspect of their lives. If we believe in Gods’ sovereignty, then we know that He is in control and that nothing passes through His hands unto us without Him taking notice. He will never violate our free will. We are not robots, we are His glorious creation designed to worship Him, whether we choose to worship Him or not.
The Psalmist said,
“What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” Psalm 8:4
Regardless of who you are, God knows you! He hasn’t dismissed His care towards any of His creation. When we accept His sovereign will as part of our life, we can step out in confidence knowing that we are never alone. Best of all, we can marvel at His presence throughout our lives and know that we can trust Him to care for us supremely.

“…A time to be silent and a time to speak.” Eccl. 3:7b
For a season, I have delayed sharing my thoughts on many of the issues that I am going to address now. It is with deep compelling sincerity that I believe when we, as a nation, and as God’s people shy away from addressing the ill will of others' actions by remaining compliant to political correctness, that we propitiate our further destruction. When others choose to snuff out goodwill by silencing the remnant, it is time to stand, speak…heck---SHOUT OUT THE TRUTH from the rooftops!!
Since when does the CHURCH coward down to the social stigma placed on her? Since when does a preacher exchange a truth for a lie in hopes of keeping his job and supporting his family? Why must the convicted heart act as if they have no conviction whatsoever to appease a relatively small percentage of people who lack morality and discretion? When the church cloaks her body in defense instead of embracing the opportunity to speak what is lovely, what is pure, what is true, and what is of good repute, she conceals her light on a hill.
Friends, I am not proclaiming my innocence in the matter, but just the opposite, my derelict actions of silence. Social media has created a whole new breed, a whole new generation of political correctness. Don’t believe me? Listen---we’re not in Kansas anymore Toto! Corruption at the top has trickled down for decades, and now we stand as if we are astonished at the crumbling of our society. We have allowed others to induce their edicts upon us, and now make us a slave to their every whim, instead of having a government that is supposed to be for the people and by the people! Have we forgotten that their job is to work for us?
Let’s look at the CHURCH now and her pinnacle of prestige and pulpit empires. She emulates very little from her original state. She no longer meets in homes, feeds the hungry, cares for the widows, fellowships with one another or for the most part, even gets out of bed. She is tired, weak and worn out from trying to build bigger sanctuaries and cathedrals and raising money for every effort under heaven. Some of her works are good indeed, but many of them fail in comparison to the early church and the Followers of the Way. This is because agenda’s and expectations are placed on her from society, and her bridal gown has become stained with the blood of bickering and compromise, forgetting the precious blood of her Savior Jesus Christ.
No more silence dear ones! John the Baptist was commissioned as we are to “make a way for the Lord.” Do not turn that around to make a way for yourself as so many have in these last days! Let us believe that God will straighten out the path before us and lift our light BRIGHTLY once again over this darkened land. Let us reach out to one another and to those who need so desperately to hear the message of HOPE and Salvation. OPEN YOUR MOUTH CHURCH! Our silence is so deafening and repugnant to God! Let us REPENT of our indignant hearts and our inability to recognize our own sin, for how can we help others out of the miry pit, when we too our sliding headlong down the slope of silence.
“For those who have ears to hear…”
After His Heart,
At this time, I am taking a Sabbatical from any writing. I have been writing devotionals for the ministry over 14 years. I am so grateful to all the readers who allow me to come into your space and share what God is telling me. You have been such a blessing to me! As the Lord leads, and IF He leads me back to write devotional blogs, I will gladly obey. Otherwise, if He does not, it means that my time will be spent serving Him in yet another capacity. God bless you!
Thomas missed out! The Lord had just appeared to the other disciples and they told him all about it. Have you ever missed out on something as awesome as this? Have you ever wondered if another opportunity would come for you to experience what you had missed?
I wonder how much faith Thomas actually possessed. I believe that he simply wanted to experience what his friends had already seen….He wanted to see Jesus! We read in the book of John, “We have seen the Lord!” But he (Thomas) said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” (John 20:25) NASB.
Thomas stated his barriers in fully believing. He wanted to see it for himself, so Jesus granted it! What is your barrier in believing God today? Maybe things are not turning out as you had hoped. Maybe you need a job or a home. Perhaps all hope is gone. Now bring your unbelief or barrier to Jesus and see what He will do with it! For “with God all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26).

Have you ever known someone who was all about everyone else’s business while neglecting their own? We call them nosy people or busy bodies. I have a Blue Heeler and she is extremely nosy. She is constantly wanting to know what I am doing, what I am searching for or what I am holding in my hand. Unfortunately, we have all met people like that too.
I cannot help but think that Paul had come across such people when he stated, “For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” (1 Cor. 2:2).
If we concern ourselves with sharing Christ with others, we will not care about all the petty things going on in their lives. Better yet, if we learn not to meddle and stay focused, we will love them as they are, and tend not to judge them----cause there is no place for that….especially when we are determined to know nothing among them except JESUS!
