James 4:17 - Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.
On the local news, where I live, they were talking about having to transport prisoners to other facilities due to the lack of room available for all of them. I do not know what it is like in your city, but I imagine the jail cells are bulging there too. Society has been on this incline for decades now, and while many are anticipating the GREAT REVIVAL of the last days, our churches are far from ready for such a visitation. Members attend when it is convenient, and visitors or guest frequent when they want, but never dare to get involved. Many of the packed churches across the land, not all of them, but many of them that are bursting at the seams are sharing a false gospel or easy road Christianity that continues to lullaby this Christian nation to sleep. What can be done about the full jailhouses and empty churches that are scattered throughout what I consider wayward America?
Revival Starts in the Jailhouse of Your Soul
Before Christ, we were in bondage to sin according to Romans Chapter Six. Sin would say, “jump” and on the way up we would inquire as to “how high?” We were prisoners but Christ changed all of that by giving us dominion over sin, death and the grave. As Christians, not one of us was born free from sin. We already had a bounty upon our heads and Satan’s job was to make sure that it stayed there. When Jesus came on the scene of our lives, in lieu of that bounty, He broke the chains of guilt, pride, rebellion, lust, hate, self-gratification, and other sin from our life, and replaced it with His forgiveness, paid the price and set us free! No one comes to Jesus knowingly without realizing the bondage that they are in and their inability to break those prison chains off without Him. Yes, we lose our status as prisoners of sin and become prisoners of the cross, in which Christ already bore for us!
A Calculated Move On Behalf of the Church Will Bring America Hope
You see, Satan, our enemy, had a calculated approach to winning your soul before you ever came to Christ. As believers, we too must possess a calculated move on behalf of the Church, as a whole, to put to death the plan of the enemy. As a country, our moral decline is easily perceived by Christians without mention, but what about our common core of beliefs? Some of us, even our leaders, say we no longer have a common belief system, insinuating that we are no longer a Christian nation.
As a Christian, only a believer can calculate the actual spiritual pulse of this nation, and I say the sleeping GIANT of the church has been slumbering long enough. There are still more Christians per capita in the United States than what is being accredited, so when will we arise oh, Sleepers? Will it be when they decide to strip every last one of our God given rights away? By then my friends, it will be too late. Once they redefine marriage, hate speech, intolerance laws, and continue to take a jack hammer to the core beliefs of our faith, then we will be left trying to convince others of the basic truth by which we stand.
How Long Will The Church Be Silent?
Let us not be silenced yet another day, another year, another decade, until Christianity is so redefined, that that Church will no longer look like Christ. If we allow the world to continue to tell us what we should be doing, what we should believe, or how we should act, then they will continue to redefine our faith for us. According to our scripture focus, we know what we need to do, and by not doing it, we have sinned. Thus, the jailhouses will continue to be filled to overflowing, and the Church will be silenced at last. As for me, I am not willing to bend my knee to the worlds’ redefining antics ----are you?
